The Humminbird 1197c SI Combo, with Navionics Value Bundle, offers real-life like underwater utilizing side imaging and the Dual Beam Plus sonar technology. This marine fishfinder fishing system boasts an ultra wide screen with side imaging sonar that provides precise coverage of large areas of water- including detailed bottom topography and fish attracting structure orientation. The Humminbird fishfinders 1197c SI Combo NVB has been equipped with a 10.4-inch TFT LCD display, which delivers images in 4:3 aspect modes and at a 600 x 800 pixels resolution. It is the ultimate structure-finding tool, and features massive coverage of 480 feet from side to side. The Dual Beam Plus™ Sonar Technology features a precision beam that is optimized for excellent bottom detail, and reveals fish hidden in bottom clutter. Humminbird Dual Beam Plus™ technology is ideal for a wide range of conditions from shallow fresh water to deep salt water. The depth capability is affected by factors as boat speed, wave action, bottom hardness, water conditions and transducer installation. The Humminbird 1197c SI Combo NVB has been equipped with a 16-channel WAAS/EGNOS GPS receiver and is capable of delivering trackplotting, chartplotting and GPS speed indication functions. The Humminbird fishfinder also features MMC/SD slot for updating your maps. If you insert a card that contains a more detailed chart for a particular location, your fishing system will retrieve that chart and display it automatically.

The Humminbird Fishfinder also features advanced sonar technologies like Real Time Sonar™ (RTS) Window, which updates depth conditions at lightening speed. The RTS® Window displays the depth and intensity of a sonar return. The Selective Fish ID+ uses advanced sonar processing to interpret sonar returns and displays a Fish Symbol when very selective requirements are met. A fish icon, and its depth, is displayed on the sunlight viewable color display whenever a fish is detected. Different fish icons describe intensity of the sonar return and offer an indicator of relative fish size. The Humminbird 1197c SI fishfinder also features Sonar Echo Enhancement technology, which shows fish, bait, and more – (you can even watch your vertical jigging on-screen!). The Sonar Echo Enhancement™ technology can track a fish as small as a jig to objects over 70 feet utilizing advanced sonar processing. The Humminbird Fishfinder comes preloaded with Navionics Gold and HotMaps Premium, a huge library of electronic cartography in an easy-to-use plug and play memory card. The Fishfinder also has backlit display for easy night viewing.

another toy for men?
I purchased the 1197c si combo a year ago. I use is for spear fishing and just fishing. I found places to fish that have gone unnoticed by other fisherman and it has doubled the adventures for scuba diving. The best investment in sports fishing I could have made.
